I am a senior at Texas State University as a Digital Media Innovations major and a Business Administration minor. Coming from Houston, Texas I was able to transfer from a community college during the Fall 2020 semester. Unfortunately, that was during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, so a lot of my courses were held entirely online. Even with these obstacles during my time at Texas State, I’ve persevered and have made it on the Dean’s List every semester. I plan on graduating after the Summer 2023 semester.
Once I have graduated, I plan on finding a career in UX/UI design. Ideally, I would eventually gain experience and move into a product design career for one of the many tech companies that are coming to Austin or any major metropolitan area. I would really enjoy finding a career in the tech design field that is somehow connected to the music industry. My dream job would have to be working for a music streaming platform like Spotify and being a part of their design team.
One of the reasons I would like for my career to be a part of the music world is the love I have for music. I enjoy listening to it, making it, and learning/discovering new music. Going vinyl shopping is one of my favorite hobbies in my free time. I also produce music out of my laptop for fun and have been involved in organizations such as Texas States' very own KTSW. I've worked as a sound technician for their live events and whenever they would record content for their YouTube channel.
